This gorgeous city is located on the south side of the North Saskatchewan River, and people often think that there isn’t much to do around Prince Albert, but we beg to differ! There are all sorts of fun things to get up to around Prince Albert and area and below we have listed only a few, but some of these are the most popular and entertaining activities around the city.
Lakes/Fishing
They don’t call Prince Albert “The Gateway to the North” for no reason! Believe it or not people travel from all over to come and see the beauty around this area, especially for fishing and camping in the summer around the Lake Lands. Some of the more popular lakes would be Waskesiu, Candle, and Emma, but there are plenty of smaller lakes to fish and explore that are more private and not commercialized. Just make sure you bring your fishing license and bug spray!
2018 WBSC Junior Men’s Softball World Championship
This will be one of the largest events ever hosted in Prince Albert. The tournament will be held from July 7th – July 15th 2018 and bring teams from over 10 different countries, along with their supporters.

Downtown Art Walk
Select art galleries, restaurants, and businesses in downtown Prince Albert will be hosting an evening art walk. On the first Thursday of each month during the spring/summer beginning Thursday, May 3rd and continuing until Thursday, September 6th, take a walk downtown and join with like-minded community people enjoying a wide range of art created by local and provincial artists. Venues include: The Mann Art Gallery, GP Carlson Gallery, John V. Hicks Gallery (PA Arts Centre), Grade Campbell Gallery (John M. Cuelenaere Public Library, On the Avenue Artisan’s Gallery, Bison Cafe, Prim & Proper Decor, Funky Fresh Bistro, The Rusty Owl and Rock Trout Cafe.
Golfing
Everybody enjoys a good game of golf! There are 4 gorgeous golf courses around Prince Albert alone to try your luck on. First, there is Cooke Municipal which is 18 holes and located right in town on 900 22 ST E, Prince Albert. Then there’s Marks Nine, Kachur’s Golf Club and Fairview Fairways which are located a short distance out of town. You can view their locations here. Interested in home baked goods, crafts, and a nice morning out? Come down to the Prince Albert Farmers Market on any Saturday this summer between 8 AM – 1 PM.
