8 Common services you might not know Cornerstone Insurance offers over the phone

We at Cornerstone Insurance are extremely proud to offer many excellent services over the phone! We have always strived to give the best customer service possible and this includes helping you from the comfort of your own home. 

1. Renewing your vehicle registration

If you call in looking to renew your plates you will be sent to our Motor License Issuing Team where they will take your plate number, customer number or first and last name to proceed to the transaction.  Be mindful that if you also have a package policy on your vehicle through our office, the payment often comes due around the same time and you should inquire about paying it as well.

2. Auto Pay renewals 

An auto pay renewal is confirmation that you would like to continue having a scheduled payment taken from your account for your plates. However, if you are looking to set up auto pay renewal you will need to visit a Motor License Issuer in person to get started.

3. SGI Customer Payment Plans (payments for points against your driver’s license)

If you are looking to make a payment on you Customer Payment Plan (CPP) or your Deductible Payment Plan (DPP) we would be glad to assist you over the phone. First, you will be sent to our Motor Licence Issuers, then we will need your customer number and payment information. 4. Driver’s License renewal (permitting you are using the same photo)

Each year at the end of your birth month you are required to renew your drivers licence unless you’ve purchased the five-year option. If you call in, you will once again be sent to a Motor Licence Issuer who will ask for a customer number or first and last name, then proceed to the transaction.

5. Policy payments 

We offer many types of policies.  Whether you are looking to pay for your home, auto, tenant, farm, commercial or life policy, we can assist you. We need your policy number or your first and last name to search your Cornerstone Insurance account and process your payment.

6. Meetings with brokers to discuss policies and changes

If you are looking to schedule a meeting with your broker, you can give us a call with a preferred time in mind and a receptionist will add you to your broker’s schedule.  You also have the option to book through our website at  https://www.cornerstoneinsurance.ca/about-us/meet-our-team/ Once on this page you can click the photo of the broker you wish to schedule a meeting with and then select “Book appointment with…” and it will prompt you to move forward with the scheduling!  In most cases, you have the option to book an in office or phone meeting.

7. If you have any troubles with MySGI we are also ready to help!

Our staff is well versed in the MySGI website so give us a call if you have any questions and our motor license issuing team will help you out. If we don’t know the answer we will go above and beyond to educate ourselves and help you. 

8. Registering a vehicle for the first time

If you are looking to register your new vehicle or transfer the plates from and old vehicle to new, we can take the payment over the phone. First we need your bill of sale sent to us at saf@csinsure.ca with your name and phone number so we can reach out to you. Once we do so we will process your payment and set up a time for you to come pick up the new physical plate or if it is just a transfer you will be good to go!
