As of May 1, 2018, in Saskatchewan, the fine per kilometer over the speed limit has been doubled. As well, any driver caught going 20 km/hr over the speed limit will now be fined $190. Fines will also be increased to $390 when 20km/hr over the speed limit in school zones and $440 in construction zones.
This province predicts this will lead to a $6.4 milllion increase in Saskatchewan’s revenue for the 2018 – 2019 fiscal year.
