Fire Prevention Week 2026: Kids’ Colouring Contest

It’s Fire Prevention Week, and this year we’re getting kids across our communities involved in fire safety — with a little help from our Fire Safety Hero.

We’ve put together a Fire Safety Hero colouring sheet to help kids learn the basics of staying safe at home, and we want to see their best work. Here’s how to take part.

How to enter

Print off a Fire Safety Hero colouring sheet from our website. Kids have all week to colour it in, then have a parent or guardian email the finished sheet to us at marketing@csinsure.ca by Sunday, October 11 with your name and phone number. You can also pick up a colouring sheet at any of our four locations, and drop off your finished entry there too.

Prizes

We’re giving away 8 prize bundles, each including a fire blanket and a snack pack. Winners will be drawn at random on Tuesday, October 13.

Why it matters

Fire Prevention Week is a great reminder to check the basics at home — testing smoke alarms, reviewing an escape plan, and talking to kids about what to do if there’s a fire. A colouring sheet is a simple, low-pressure way to start that conversation with younger kids.
